In our office we have 5 bins: bio, plastic, paper, mixed and glass.

By definition, we put all plastics and metal in the plastic container. If you throw two types of waste into the plastic bin, e.g. a metal yoghurt lid and a plastic container, try to separate them as much as possible.

Here is a list of the things we most often throw away at the office and the containers we should put them in:

Used paper towels, tissues

If a paper is grasy or dirty throw it in mixed

Covid tests and masks

Try to cut the strings off used disposable masks

Mixed:

Plastic caps are collected in a separate box which is located next to the coffee machine

Juice or milk cartons

Plastic containers

Plastic:

Try to use it more than once or rinse it before disposing

Try to seperate plastic cap

Clear glass bottles

Empty glass jars

Glass:

No need to clean it, just rinse it

Dark glass bottles

Coffee grounds

Veggie and fruit scraps

Wilted flowers and plants

Bio:

Takeaway paper bags

Only if not greasy or dirty
